Developing Employee Friendly (EI) Policies

Developing Employee Friendly (EI) Policies for all Staff

There is growing pressure among childless workers for “employee friendly” policies for all workers – not just those with children.

Retaining quality staff is becoming more difficult for companies.

No longer able to offer ‘jobs for life’, how do you attract and retain the best calibre people. Not only attract and retain them, but also motivate them to perform with commitment, innovation and passion.

Rapid staff turnover costs companies millions annually. Retaining key staff is a major problem and one which is growing, recruitment is strong and your staff are receiving calls daily from search consultants offering more money, bigger bonsuses, larger stock options. How do you dissuade them from taking those calls – and more importantly acting on them?

Why would a young high flyer be attracted to your long-established, global organisation? What can you offer that an ‘exciting, fast moving, adrenalin pumping start up can’t?’

The only way to inspire loyalty is to care about and value achievers. People stay with companies where they feel their contribution is valued.

Work-life balance and culture fit are seen as more important than money alone.

Emotionally Intelligent recruiting practices will promote: good culture fit, aligning an employees interests with development opportunities to further company goals and teaching techniques to help employees balance family and work life will foster long term commitment.

Exit interviews in most organisations give a clear indication of why people leave. How many companies respond to the feedback in a positive way?

In the UK it costs a minimum of £100k for every lost high achiever. Loss of business, work not done on time, recruitment costs, training costs, percentage fee to headhunters …… and yet, we still don’t address the problem.

The Success Group will work with you to develop an inspiring and motivating mission statement together with the core competencies required in new hires. New employees must be flexible and keep up to date with changes and development in their own jobs.

We will design and run assessment centres or interview programmes which ensure that core competencies and flexible attitudes needed are present. The bedrock of lasting, win-win relationships.

We can help you today to begin the process of developing Employee Friendly and Emotionally Intelligent staff policies call us today and benefit from our unparalleled experience.
