Dates and speakers announced for Online Educa Berlin.
Online Educa Berlin, the world's largest international conference for technology-supported learning and training, will be taking place at the Hotel InterContinental Berlin from 30 November to 2 December 2011.
The theme of this year's conference will be "New Learning Cultures" where delegates will discuss the following questions:
- Do we need a new culture of learning?
- How should we teach?
- How can we learn?
- Are the old methods dead?
- In a world of rapid technological change, is training enough?
- How can we encourage the adaptability and agility?
- And how can the delivery of education we keep up with the pace of change?
Confirmed keynote speakers include:
- John Bohannon, journalist and visiting researcher at Harvard University, USA.
- Jeff Borden, senior director of teaching and learning at Pearson eCollege, USA.
- Nellie Kroes, vice-president of the European Commission and European digital agenda commissioner.
- Ruth Martínez, doctoral candidate, strategic consultant in learning innovation at ELEARNING3D, Spain.
- Peter Nowak, technology commentator, formerly of CBC and the National Post, and author of Sex, Bombs & Burgers, Canada.
- Douglas Thomas, associate professor in the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California, USA, and co-author of A New Culture of Learning.
