Internet companies across Europe are waking up to the increased need to reach profitability and match the same criteria for commercial success as ‘traditional’ businesses according to a report from the Financial Mail.

According to a survey from PricewaterhouseCoopers more internet companies are producing profits and cash burn rates – the period taken to run out of initial funding – are decreasing.

The survey also reports that internet operations are being led in Europe by German businesses.
