My company is currently on the look out for an electronic assessment tool. We've had a look at some of the big players in the market (Questionmark, Silent Edge etc.) and have been somewhat underwhelmed. The tools i've looked at make creating questionnaires simple and easy to report on but very little is thought about how people will use and interact with the assessment beyond throwing a bit of flash in as an afterthought.
Does anyone outh there know of or use an e-assessment tool they feel is genuinely exciting or different? I'd love to see something that really stands out from the crowd.

Different e-assessment tools
Hi
Take a look at http://www.soLearn.com – we developed this as an adjunct to training courses we offer in response to demand for a way to test knowledge retention. For our customers this was particularly relevant in the Health and Safety sphere as lack of awareness is an obvious risk.
It is all managed via email and workflow so it is invisible to the user. It is quick, easy to respond to and sends reminders. There are also escalation points if people don’t respond and emails will be sent to line management.
If the user fails the assessment, then there are links to training material for knowledge refresh.
If I can help further please get in touch.

What and who are you trying to assess?
Hi Soapbox,
It would be good to know who your are planning to assess, for what purpose and against what standard or benchmark. E-Assessment is a big area and a bit more background would help work out what ‘fit for purpose’ might look like.
