E-learning for NHS sector?

default-16x9

I am developing e-learning work for my NHS Trust, and am keen to identify possible suppliers who have NHS experience or content (both general and clinical/medical). Most tend to be small and niche, so finding them is proving tricky! If you've had a good experience of any, I'd be grateful for any contact details.

PS I'm aware of work and plans with the NHSU but this interest stands apart from that.

The European Nursing Leadership Foundation offer a bespoke e-learning development service to meet the needs of particular staff groups, organisational needs or clinical areas. You will find further details at:

    http://www.nursingleadership.org.uk/

David Dawes is Co-Director of the European Nursing Leadership Foundation. You can drop him a line via email at:

    dave@nursingleadership.org.uk

In 2003, David and Ali Handscomb won the Institute of IT Training E-learning Project of the Year Award for their bespoke leadership development for nurses across the NHS. The programme content focused on organisational change, culture change and development of a framework of support of nurses.

I am sure the combination of NHS experience and e-Learning expertise offered by David and Ali would be of value to you.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards

    Adrian

    Paul,

To further support Adrians comments, I met with David a few months back about possible projects and feel his experience would be a good place to start.

We also recently did a piece of work for a Trust who was gearing up for the NHSU. I would be glad to share some of this with you.

    Good Luck.

  4. E-Learning content
Try http://www.tbdglobal.com. Their number is 0870 241 3998 speak to either Toni or Sue there.

They have considerable medico-legal expertise and have trained in this area and associated areas for many years.

Easy and flexible to deal with and can cover both medical and general content. They have a number of medical staff available on nursing and primary care issues.

  7. NHS experience
Epic have years of experience in healthcare on a wide range of topics including; cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, radiology, palliative care and health economics. We have produced online training for healthcare professionals including; consultants, hospital physicians, general practitioners, nurses, midwives, health visitors, radiologists and pharmacists.

We are currently developing the Working for the NHS Induction programme for NHSU and have recently developed e-learning for the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), where we were sub-contracted to develop training for their Root Cause Analysis programme. We are now working on two programmes on Open Disclosure. Practical courses rooted in clinical practice include programmes on manual handling, palliative care, resuscitation, asthma management and practical endoscopy. On medical technology we have produced large training programmes on MRI Physics and on the interpretation of MRI images.

Part of Epics research for Working in the NHS was to make a detailed study of the learning cultures operating within the NHS. Our work on this programme, and on other programmes developed for the health and social care communities, has given us an excellent understanding of the NHS learning environment.
