Our main business is running 5 day trainer licensing courses where we train trainers to deliver one of our suite of personal development programmes. The course includes lots of stuff about the delivery style of the workshops, our underpinning groundrules as well as practice delivery of each of the four workshops. We want to explore how we can reduce the length of the course by using e learning. Obviously a lot of the theory can be done in this way and could be moved to before or after a face to face course. The critical part of the course is preparing for and delivering and getting feedback on sessions from each of the workshops to experience these and develop delivery competence. I cannot see that this could be done through e learning and I'm intereted to get any advice about this. Thanks in advance.

eLearning for Personal Development
A lot depends on what your experience of eLearning actually is, but in my opinion elearning is actually great for many topics. Your question was based on ‘preparing for and delivering and getting feedback on sessions from each of the workshops to experience these and develop delivery competence’.
OK eLearning is producing something up front then it being available for learners to access 24/7, etc. So some quick ideas, and yes it does all depend on budget!!
Hopefully these ideas will help. Give me a shout though if you need any help with producing the content!

an element…..
….of delivery competence may be assessed remotely via webinar facility but you still need human beings to view and provide feedback……
E learning for trainer licensing
I would establish all the training/enabling objectives of the course and correlate them to delivery methods/media. This should help clarify if/where elearning is appropriate.
