I know this is a big ask as I'm not even sure what I'm asking but will give it a go...
Has anyone seen or used or been involved in the development of an E leaning tool as opposed to an E learning Course?
The best example I have are things like the Sky Website or Ceros electronic brochures as they show lots of info in different formats and at different levels of detail...they are sites that people go to because they want to rather than being asked to...Pull NOT Push...
I'm trying to develop something similar that is a mixture of E learning and a "learning tool" that people go back to for updates and further information/study when needed...
A big ask but hoping for some inspiration...
(PS: I know it just sounds like a website but it needs to be more than that or I would just get a web designer in!)

are these the ‘droids you are looking for?
http://www.peoplealchemy.co.uk is a deliberate toolkit of material that people dip into as they need and is therefore set up to be learner pulled. It is successful with its clients’ staff precisely because people go to it rather than being sent to it. It is about to be made available via Android as well.
I don’t know if it would fulfill your needs but Paul Matthews who set it up and runs it is a lovely bloke with an engineering background and a wealth of knowledge that might be useful to tap into
also what about Knowledge Pills and Skill pills?

Thanks Rus
Definetely on the right lines…
Sort of a learning place with many layers and engaging content…it also needs to have some "push" as some of the tasks are mandatory for some people…places to blog, Q and A and guest speakers etc etc..
Think it’s becoming clearer…
have a word with Paul…..
….I’m sure that he will be able to offer some valuable advice…
