Early Success for Construction College

default-16x9

Only 12 months after becoming fully operational, the National Construction College’s assessment and verification department has set an industry standard.

A case study on the department has featured in the guide “Excellence in Assessment and Verification”.

The guide, produced by the standard setting body for S/NVQ assessment and verification ENTO, cites the college as demonstrating best practice when auditing the procedures of a large company.

The college’s assessment and verification manager Graeme Brierley said that inclusion was a “great success” but showed no sign of resting on his laurels.

“Since becoming operational the department is consistently achieving excellent external verifier reports,” he said.

“However, I still feel there is room for improvement. We have got the quality aspect right, now we need to up the level of people achieving NVQ qualifications.”
