Elearning on Studying Techniques

default-16x9

Does anyone know of any online courses which would cover learning how to study effectively, or how to make the most of your studies? The purpose would be twofold –
1. To assist delegates on a traditional type of Management Development programme in improving their study techniques.
2. To use the course as part of a pilot for online learning.

If anyone has any ideas where I could look that would be great.

  1. Effective Study
    Hi Karl,

I don’t know of an online method, but I am involved with Tony Buzan’s Organisation. Years ago, TB put forward the MMOST – Mind Map Organic Study Technique, which has helped millions of people to get more out of their study.

For basic information about Tony’s methods, try “The Mind Map Book” ISBN 0-563-36373-8, or “Head Strong” ISBN 0-00-711397-8.

If you’d like to talk about incorporating TB’s licensed material into your training, give me a call!

  3. Learning HOW to learn
We are just completing a learning how to learn program for adults in the workplace. It is based on our work with the Campaign for Learning, Multiple Intelligence theory and personal learning preferences and a program we have done with PWC. It has been proven with them and in nearly 1000 of the UK secondary school (with a younger version). We are aiming at the whole market and through Intranets and personal CD. Have a look at http://www.masteritfaster.com and http://www.learntolearn.org we hope to launch within a month and already have the interest from several large companies.
