The Sector Skills Development Agency is asking for Expressions of Interest from employers to form new Sector Skills Councils from 10 June 2002. The aim is to raise the profile of skills development in the workforce and encourage employers to become directly involved in the establishing of Sector Skills Councils.

This campaign is intended to establish the core aims of Skills for Business with a broad business audience, and is is part of an overall approach to establishing Skills for Business as a credible and effective facilitator for business, in determining policy, leadership and action in skills provision in the UK.
