Employers Urged to Sign up for Disability Standard

default-16x9

With nearly 50 organisations already on board, the Employers’ Forum on Disability is urging UK business and public sector organisations to sign up to the Disability Standard benchmarking process before the March 2005 deadline passes.

The Disability Standard shows organisations where they need to take action, signposts legal requirements and provides best practice solutions through a combination of the Benchmark Survey, individually tailored feedback, workshops and the Standard Directory.

Organisations from a wide range of sectors, including Barclays, Bupa, Sainsburys, the National Assembly of Wales and Royal Mail, have signed up to complete the Benchmark Survey, which runs from the beginning of March until the end of April 2005.

David Mills, Chief Executive, Post Office Ltd said: “Using the Standard is the best option for companies who want to get it right on disability. Royal Mail Group, including Post Office Ltd, has signed up and I would urge others to do the same.”

To sign up to the Disability Standard or for a copy of the brochure, please contact Jim Green on 020 7089 2415 or email jim.green@employers-forum.co.uk.
