Equalities training for trainers

default-16x9

I am looking for training for our associate trainers to give them information about different ethnic groups in London and also the confidence and skills to effectively challenge participants' views and stereotypes about these issues. For example, when an Israeli participant expressed the opionion that for women, wearing the headscarf was a form of domestic violence, the trainers running that course did not feel confident enough tochallenge her. Any ideas?

  1. Equality Training
Diversity and Equality training is my anorak subject. Equality proofing is the lining for all courses at design, delivery and evaluation stages

LONDON training needs to be conducted against a backcloth of the capital’s social atlas and demographic returns from 2001 Census. I would expect to see employment and customer care issues covered as well as
    RELIGIONS
    Cultures and Communities
embracing worship, diet, dress code, death and other information. Background information against the backcloth of the SHAP calendar also needs addressing as do Work and Family issues and specific needs of other groups

Huge subject – happy to help

  2. A recommendation
I used an equality and diversity consultant called Nigel Jacques to deliver a programme for my trainers.

    His number is 07989 844269.

  3. Met Police Model
The model adopted by the Metropolitan Police Service in response to the Stephen Lawrence enquiry addresses exactly these issues (and has been delivered to over 45,000 staff to date.

I’d be happy to supply further information/contacts.
