European Learning Strategy

default-16x9

Hello (and happy new year),

I am trying to build a European Learning and Development Strategy for our newly formed L&D department and was wondering if any of you could share or make recommendation on an appropriate format/content for this document please?

As a draft, these are the points that I have in mind:

- Overview :

- Purpose, approach & scope (alignment with Org. vision & strategy + HR strategy)

- Objectives

- Stakeholders & systems (Learning page in the internal page, ...)

- Guiding principles (ADDIE model)

- High level description and Service Level Agreement (services and timing)

- Critical factors:

- Assumptions (support from management, etc...)

- Risks

- Implementation:

- Detailed approach

- Methodology

- Evaluation:

- Approach

- Measurements (KPIs and timing etc...)

Any thoughts or advices ?

Thank you very much

Gaelle

One Response

  1. Assumptions can prove tricky

The outline looks good, but the example of assumptions you note is a problem. Many programs fail due to lack of support or buy-in from senior line managers. Rather than assume you will have it, there needs to be a specific strategy for how to get it. I would suggest this for other assumptions, too. It's a very good idea to try to list assumptions, but then you need to figure out how to assure they are correct or will come to happen.
