Exit Planning

I believe that exit strategies are an important element of project management particularly in relation to:
·Short term campaigns
·Prioritisation of activities to meet changing needs
·Allocation of resources to new and innovative projects
·Projects with a limited lifespan

I am looking for information that will help me to:
a) put forward the business case for investing in exit planning,
b) identify the characteristics of a good exit plan
c) identify some case studies – good and bad i.e. organisations or projects that have undertaken effective and ineffective exit planning.
