The expo 2000 e-business exhibition is taking place at The Grand Hall, Olympia, London from 7th - 9th November 2000. Patricia Hewitt, the E-Commerce Minister will be attending on day 1.
This event is offering visitors the opportunity to discover how e-business soluctions can increase revenue, reduce costs, lead to better distribution control, improved efficiency and take their products to larger markets.
There will be over 150 of the leading e-business companies in attendance, offering their latest solutions and even some new products will be unveiled for the first time at this show. There will also be over 100 free seminars and keynote sessions that has been put together to meed the needs of every type of business.
Here is a breakdown of the three day event:
Day 1 - 7 November
Patricia Hewitt MP, Minister of State, Minister for Small Businesses, and E-Commerce will discuss current and e-business issues and developments.
Day 2 - 8 November
The best e-business practices in the UK will be revealed with case-studies from the finalists of the Computer Weekly e-business Excellence Awards, this will be chaired by Karl Schneider, Editor - Computer Weekly.
Day 3 - 9 November
A multi-channel e-business keynote will take place where you can hear from the innovators with real life examples of how muti-channel e-business is working now and what it promises to delivery tomorrow. Speakers will be present from Compaq, Ericsson and Open. Chaired by Rodney Thomas, DM, Academy Internet.
Seminars that are free to attend will be split into three main sections:
- Industry Solution Seminars - offering practical business insights and case-studies
- Industry Vision Seminars - presented by speakers from government and industry looking at e-business. Sessions include data protection, european e-business, B2B e-commerce.
- Industry Focus Seminars - sector specific seminars, looking at particular e-business problems and opportunities faced by government and public sectors, banking and finance, retail, travel, manufacturing, IT and telecoms, publishing and media and healthcare.
