Dear colleagues trainers and facilitators, I need your help please! A colleague asked me to facilitate a 2 days retreat for his team. The main objective of this retreat is to reflect on the actual organisation and work of the team and to think about the possible solutions to improve and optimize it. I used to organize and animate training courses but it will be the first time that I will facilitate a retreat/meeting of this type. I have some ideas but I would like to propose some good and innovative ways to facilitate the discussion. Do you have any ideas to suggest to helping me, please?!?! there is a resource to help to get people to feedback about their wants and needs; it is built around the mnemonic GROWTH and I used it very sucessfully last year with a team offsite much as you are doing.

Retreat
I think that on something like this over 2 days – you need to allow plenty of down time. So plan something that isn’t work related for the evening (and ideally is lots of fun – and doesn’t take up the whole evening) – and make sure you programme in enough time for individual reflection & informal conversations too.
