We are looking for a course which will teach us a method of facilitation which we can adopt as a standard. I think Kepner Tregoe used to have a recognised method. Anybody got any ideas of others?

Participative Training Techniques (PTT)
Not clear on what type of facilitation you are looking at. However, PTT is a method that engages trainees rather than being a “chalk & talk” which turns people off – and usually asleep. Mixture of buzz/hum groups, questioning techniques, tick box discussion groups etc.

FACILITATION METHODS (= SYSTEMS?)
Not sure of your purpose in seeking methods to act as a standard – myself, I’d be concerned re any possible leap to a method/system that carried the risk of missing the human process issues (fears, motivations, hurts and elations)- all depends on how deep you want to go – happy to chat 020 8878 6422 – Iain Thomson
