Britannia Building Society chief executive Neville Richardson will be celebrating with staff after the company was awarded a best for leadership accolade in the Sunday Times 'top 20 best big companies to work for' list.
Speaking to the Sunday Times he commented: "It's not my responsibility to think for 5,000 people, it's my responsibility to create an environment where 5,000 people can think."

Ernst & Young accountants were best for training & development in big companies this year. Last year's winner for training and development, Goldman Sachs, who featured in a recent TrainingZone.co.uk profile, was ranked third overall in the 'top best big companies to work for'.
The list for the '100 best small companies to work for' was published a week earlier, with notable stars from the training world: Lane4, Impact and Acadamee.

In the final list of '100 best companies to work for' in the UK, Beaverbrooks the jewellers were best for leadership, and financial services firm Edward Jones were best for training & development.

Speaking in the Sunday Times, Angus Kirk, stockbroker and financial advisor at Beaverbrooks commented: "The training never really ends. If you've got a hunger to educate and improve yourself, Edward Jones will support you."

We hope to bring you more about leadership, training and development in these organisations in the future on TrainingZone.co.uk
