A new online tool aims to help businesses identify their IT skills gaps and design appropriate training programmes.

Through a series of online questions on the SkillsTracker, from Computeach, employers are able to identify the IT capabilities and training requirements for each individual within their business.

Les Meadows, Learning Solutions Director at Computeach said: "By identifying the level of competence in skills such as programme installation, updating and troubleshooting, businesses can get a clearer picture of where employees excel and where they require support. The SkillsTracker tool has been designed to do just this and provide a profile of an employee on which a personalised training course can be based."

The online tool is based on the proven SkillsTracker of the Institute of IT Training (IITT), the professional body for IT Training in the UK.
