Add another layer of interest by withholding essential informati
Nice activity. You can add another level of interest by withholding the facts about the swapped puzzle pieces until after a team complains. This is legitimate since negotiations often occur when you encounter something unexpected.
The debrief can build backward (which negotation skills did you use / not use and how did that help / hurt?) or forward (link back to what they used successfully / unsuccessfully in the game when you introduce them to negotiation skills).
A cheaper version?
An interesting activity, I use a laminated poster with either an inspirational message or something relevent to the course/ message/skill which I cut into various pieces.
You can take this activity to whatever level suits your audience, and its good for negotiation skills, problem solving and lateral thinking, depending on what information you allow out at the begining of the exercise
