More news suggesting that the rationalisation of National Training Organisations has already begun comes with the announcement that the Gas and Water NTOs have merged.
The merger between GINTO, the gas industry NTO, and BETWI, the water NTO, takes effect from April 1 2001, with the new organisation becoming known as GWINTO (Gas and Water Industry National Training Organisation).
Last week we reported that a merger was likely to take place between the Engineering and Marine Training Authority (EMTA) and the troubled NTO tele.com, the NTO for the telecoms industry. The NTO network is currently undergoing a review to establish how the network can best be re-organised.
