What are your top tips for delivering great L&D on a budget?
- Do a thorough LNA/TNA
- Develop an in-house free social network
- Use all the business resources you have e.g. SMEs
- Use MOOCS!
- Don’t use MOOCs use SPOCs!
- Give everyone the power to edit
- Use in-house options: job swaps, secondments, projects
- Text-based scenarios can be just as good as elearning
- Make your own pictures, drawings and videos
- Online reduces fixed costs e.g., travel, accommodation
- Build an open-source resource library
- Set up a trial group - under promise and over deliver
- Base decisions around problem
- Make sure everyone is on the same page and keeping inside budget
- Optimise technology
- Think big and broad before tailoring for individuals
- Use delegates prior experience to form core
- Collaborate
- Look outward
- Understand the new stuff coming through
- Learn from the third sector
- Make L&D not budget the focus
