Any skills which can't be easily quantified and fall under the banner of Emotional Intelligence such as body language, presentation skills, negotiation, people management, empathy are all examples of soft skills. Recently there has been a move to rename soft skills as some feel (possible correctly) that the 'soft' moniker makes them sound inferior to business skills with more obvious metrics, whereas actually, employers are valuing soft skills as increasingly important in modern business. Other suggestions include behavioural skills, people skills, life skills.
