Hello,
I am currently studying the CTP with a long term plan of going freelance.
I have identified that i need to devlop my networking and persuading skills to help me with the plan of going freelance - does anyone know of a good provider/trainer in this area?
I am based in London, but would travel.
Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Thanks,
Emma

Help with persuasion skills to improve networking results
If you’re looking for 1-1 sessions, I can help. I run Play4Real, a consultancy that helps businesspeople play around with voice, body language and behaviour the way an actor does in rehearsal, in order to improve the way you persuade, influence, build rapport and generally come across to other businesspeople in all kinds of contexts – including networking events. We’re West London-based – if you’d like to know more, drop me a line.

Try Richard White @ http://www.pro-excellence.com/
It’s worth building up your network now. Attend some events and join some online networking groups – you will get lots of free advice. Apart from trainingzone.co.uk you could try http://www.HRDCafe.co.uk and http://www.ecademy.com
Networking Seminar!
Hi!
I can recommend Kintish. Available nationally, very reasonable price for what you get. Develop your skills/behaviours and network at the same time with other participants.

Hope that helps.

join some networks
A good way to develop your skills is to increase your current networks and reflect on how useful they are.
Professional bodies offer useful events that are go to network at, the obvious one is CIPD but you may have access to others.
Create a network list and try to maintain the relationships and think of what you can give (not just gain!).
Best of luck
