Has Tz stolen the march on the competition?

default-16x9

I read a number of professional websites and fora. I've also noted Tz's new tag line above and the fabulous recent debates and insight that's been available on this site.
My question is has Tz established its elf as 'The independent champion of training, learning & development' and stolen the march from others?

  1. depends how you define “champion”!
I don’t think I’m aware of Tz fighting battles on behalf of the training community, so in that respect no, I don’t think the name champion is earned….however, if we used it in the vernacular of “‘as thee seen tha’ website TrainingZone? ’tis proper champion that!”
Then yes I think it has earned it.
(I’m not sure that the elf has anything to do with it though!)

  2. Champion indeed!
Firstly I would like to congratulate Russ on the best northern accent I have seen in text in a long time! 🙂

Juliet, I agree with you that no points have been accrued to earn the top podium at an awards ceremony. Non that we know of that is!
I however read this comment as a description of TZ’s constant support of the training, learning and development world.
To champion a cause so to speak, if they meant it in this sense of the word then I whole heartily agree as I struggle to find a site that is as dedicated and thorough as TZ!

  3. Anyone actually seen this Elf?
I’m not sure if there is a definitive T&D “champion” out there. However, I do think that Tz is pretty much the best T&D related website I’ve come across, both in terms of content and community.

Juliet – I love the idea that Tz have hired an elf to act as the ‘The independent champion of training, learning & development’. Please don’t correct the typo, it made me smile at the end of a rough day 😉

  4. Championing training
I’m so glad to see that members have noticed our recent new banner proclaiming that we are the independent champion of training, learning & development.

We are keen as an organisation to do more to promote all forms of training, L&D and to get more involved in the community which we represent. For example, we would love to organise a networking event in London and would welcome members thoughts, ideas and suggestions on this. Is this something that you would welcome and attend? Are there any companies or organisations that would be willing to help us achieve this?

We are also supporting the Learn Direct awards this year, we hope to have a greater (and hopefully more practical) input at Learning Technologies next January, we are discussing a range of member benefits with various companies that we hope will be attractive to all concerned and hope to work more closely with key organisations representing our members.

Any other thoughts, ideas and suggestions as to what you the members would like from TrainingZone, then do please let us know – it’s a good time to air your thoughts as we are planning a redesign of the site and would welcome input.

Thankyou to everyone for you continued support – it’s great to know that the efforts of Claire Savage, myself and the rest of the TrainingZone team are appreciated.

We continue to work towards making the site a hub for the training, learning & development community.

    Kind regards
