Help – I need an hour of your time….

default-16x9

Unfortunately our speaker for our Staff Conference (this Thursday, 28th October) is unable to attend.  I need to fill a one-hour customer service session for 250 staff.  Coming straight after lunch, the session would need to be fun, interactive, different and free.  Any hints, tips and ideas very gratefully received.....

Not panicking - yet!

  1. X Factor

You could do a lot worse than to show X Factor clips on You Tube and somehow collect votes?

There are 11 X factor contestants, about 2 1/2 mins each…1 min to vote and a dragged out 3rd 2nd 1st place results and you have an hours worth of fun and interactivity.

Not really work related and possibly not allowed due to licensing issues but not much more they can expect with 3 days notice! I would certainly rather do it than some of the other "games" I have been asked to do in the after lunch spot!

Good luck and Cher would get my vote!

  2. you don’t give any clues as to what industry you are in but here

Find out something about the "Moment Of Truth" (there is a free download on my website on the "Downloadable Resources" Page)

Break your delegates up into groups and get each group to

~try to list all the moments of truth for your customers, make sure that they cover the entire cycle as appropriate for your business including aftersales and warranty if relevant. You can make the groups either specialist (ie all one store/function) or make them cross functional so they learn from each other

~recommend how you can manage each one to make it a positive experience for the customer

~list what is not available now but is needed to make this happen

Write it all up on flip charts

Collect it in afterwards and do something with it….it is a GREAT LEARNING OPPORTUNITY FOR SENIOR MANAGERS.

If you want some help with this feel free to get in touch…..no sales pressure I promise
