Help with training game.

I seem to rememer taking part in a very good game to demonstrate the ways in which people retain information.

We had to look at a tray of objects, listen to a lsit of objects being read aloud to us and see a list of objects written on a board. We then had to write down the objects we remembered at each stage.

Does anyone know the theory that goes with this game – is it written up anywhere? Can anyone give me a quick run down? Any stats?

Thanks

  1. Memory checks
There is an excellent book by Tony Buzan called “Use your Memory”. Chapter 2 covers checking your current memory capabilities , and includes several tests. I do not have any more details on the book itself, however I may be able to dig up an extract.
