I'm looking for a really good residential venue (2 days, 1 night) within 50 miles of central Manchester.
It's for a senior team get together (8 directors) for team building, strategy planning and a little bit of rest and relaxation after a hectic year.
So I'm looking for somewhere quite luxurious, good bedrooms, swimming pool, excellent food, decent meeting rooms - possibly a country house hotel type of place.
Ideally somewhere you'd be happy to recommend personally!

Grosvenor, Nr Chester

Suprised it is only rated a three star – I’ve been for meals and functions there and it is really excellent, haven’t stayed there though.
Have the advantage of being close to Chester as well should entertainment be required.
Also try the Carden Park Hotel – very very good – food, accomodation, location and golf course all superb!
