High performance culture

default-16x9

Hello

I'm doing some research for my company at the moment on the topic of high performance culture and performance management. Does anyone know of any UK or US companies that put a 'high performance culture' strategy in place.

It would also be very helpful if anyone also knew what performance management procedures were put in place to drive this strategy.

Many thanks

By far the best material that I’ve found is some research done for the Society of British Aerospace Companies – go to http://www.sbac.co.uk and there is a link to the HPWO research.

In brief, it shows that companies who invest in 1)high involvement practices, 2) HR practice which build skills, motivation & ability, and 3)employee relations practices which build trust, loyalty and identity with the organisation achieve significantly better results than those who invest little or nothing in these areas.

Sales per employee were +161%, and ‘value-add’ per employee was +61%.

    Hope this helps,
