How do you sell/patent a new training “invention”

A friend of mine has designed and pilot tested three times a brilliant new training game on time management. I have not seen one like this before

Is there a process he could follow or a supplier he could approach to sell/patent his invention

    Selling it might be quite easy, it’s just a question of approaching training supplies suppliers and checking their interest.

    Patenting it would be an expensive process with very little chance of success – so unless he would be sure of a massive return on his investment he would be better off using copyright to fend off idea thieves.
