I am looking for help in training an experienced presenter in how to work an audience. He would like specific tips on how to take all of the audience with him, and make a presentation truly memorable. One area we are considering is using actors for advice - do you have any ideas or experience which might help please?

I would echo Mark’s sentiments below – actor/trainer, etc.

Looking in the wrong direction?
With respect, the description of this person’s perceived training needs beg the question as to whether he actually understands the trainer’s role (regardless of any previous “experience”).
The title of your post, for example, which uses a phrase I have previously only heard in connection with night club performers and American “keynote speakers”, suggests that this person could possibly benefit by going back to basics and re-assessing his underlying beliefs, values and presuppositions in regard to training rather than automatically assuming that he is ready to move on to “advanced” skills.
As to relevant training courses, maybe “Presenting Magically” might be of use. It is run by PPD Ltd., who can be reached on 0208 992 9523
