How would you support an e-learning package on diversity?

default-16x9

My organisation has invested in an e-learning package on diversity for all staff to use when they join the organisation. Having piloted the software many senior managers and myself included have issues around how we can guarantee that the learning points get across. Has anyone had any experience of supporting e-learning?

I wonder if your question should be more along the lines of…

…what do we want to change (measurably) in our organisation so that it is more inclusive/less discriminatory?

…what structural, policy, procedural and other changes do we need to make to support this?

…what learning points are required to ensure that the above changes take place, and become embedded?

…how must managers and staff behave in order to ensure the learning points will be accepted and embedded?

    THEN order your eLearning package!

If you’ve done the procurement first, you can still ask these questions, and it may then become clearer how the eLearning will fit in to what you are trying to achieve.

Martin makes good sense. MOving on,I would also suggest you do try to get people together post their engagement with the e package. WHy not try

b- An Observatory session where learner either physically bring equality or diversity materials – employment or customer care – to a static exhibition or post on a site. The observatory can be a good backcloth for the equality circle

I assume your performance assessment and objective setting systems will be joined up in thinking and practice with your e package?

    GOOD LUCK
