IBM have decided to launch a consulting practice to help customers in the best way of automating their HR processes. They state that their services are different to companies such as Exult, BT and Andersen Consulting, because they are not actually selling a product, simply advice.
IBM state that they feel that the majority of their customers would already have invested in an HR system but simply do not know how to get the best out of these systems. What IBM are offering are for them to have a look at their customers processes and advise on options that would best suit their organisation and better ways of doing things.
IBM state that their solutions are based around their company's own experience having built their own tailor-made system that allows their staff access to HR data through an intranet.
