Ideas for game/exercise

default-16x9

Greetings.

I'm attending a course to learn how to train people. In July I will have to make a 15 minutes session and my final evaluation will depend on my performance.

I already picked the subject: The 15 minutes session will be part of a Training Course named Internet/IT for Seniors (starting with basic information about the PC components). The target public will have no knowledge on computers.

I don't want to rely solely on exposition method. My plan for the session is:

- make my "seniors" recall previous information (allegedly given in a previous class);

- introduce the subject for the session. asking questions about what do they already know about the matter;

- talk briefly about the subject and then an exercise or game to evaluate if they got the information right;

My problem is: My audience (my colleagues) have no PC in front of them.

I only have a portable computer, a whiteboard and a projector.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Mun

    Hi Mun

    Part 1 – Have a big picture of a computer on the wall…a bunch of post its with names of parts / components…your audience put the name in the relevant place on the picture.

    Part 2 – Another bunch of post its with functions…your audience then go to the picture and match the function to the component.
