I am doing a 1 to 1 coaching session with a colleague looking at identifying personal values. Have quite abit of past material on this and wondered if anyone would be willing to share any current thoughts they have with this topic? Much appreciated.

clarifying values
I’m assuming you have the usual Values Clarification material.
My current thoughts stem from a workshop I participated in years ago, and which has left me working away on the issue. For me the two most helpful thoughts are “The way you use and respond to money demonstrates your values”, and “Your values are demonstrated in your behaviour. What would your friends/colleagues assume were your values, judging from your behaviour with them?”
The other thing is to keep the conversation neutral. My values aren’t necessarily better than yours – and a person is freer to explore their own values when are not feeling judged.
