I have been asked to put some training together for a Local Authority Council on doing Equality Impact Assessments.
Anyone got any case studies or ideas on how to make this subject come alive for participants.

Impact Assessments
One of the UK’s leading equality trainers took one of my colleagues through this using BEST VALUE’S 4 C’s and creating E’s and D’s. I am sure they would do it for you but only commercially. My friend is on holiday but as I recall the trainer they had measured for direct, indirect and institutional discrimination-looking too at the glass ceiling AND the glass cliff
That might give you enough because some of it is jargon to me,but I am sure there is a good framework there

not sure if this will help but i have found the above book useful for communicating the “strength of differences ” within organisations in a stimulating way. the ISBN is 1-57675-173-2. there are supporting training materials to assist with workshops. have a look on http://www.peacockproductions.com
hope this helps
