I've been tasked with designing a global Induction for a large organisation with has many employees across the world. Are there any consultants who specialise in the design of such Inductions and would support this project?

My personal opinion is this:-
-don’t pay a consultancy to design an induction to an organisation to which they don’t belong…do it in house
-there is probably only a small core of information that is common across all your sites so I would start with that and set it up predominantly on your intranet, with a TTT for local staff to deliver the face to face bits to the folk in their locations
-draw local information to cover the country-specific parts of the induction and set up systems to ensure that this is managed and maintained locally
This should give you a blended approach to suit all styles, a local ownership to get committment and relevance and should result in a shed load of savings
I hope this helps
PS if you want a consultant to do it, call me!!!!

Dear Ros
I agree with Rus about doing it in house, and have a diagnostic that I’m testing to look at the impact of induction on employee outcomes such as commitment, satisfaction and performance. I’m happy to share the bones of the academic research (or all of it, if you have the energy!) on which the diagnostic is based. There are some interesting elements you might want to consider – before designing your own, in-house!
