For those of you who are members of the IITT can anyone confirm that they have experienced any benefits as I am considering joining

I would recommed the IITT if you are a practising trainer
Hi Simon,
I have been a member for a few years and think that it has been beneficial for me as a trainer to have membership and accreditation from them. It certainly helped me get my current job to have accreditation from a professional body against a trainer that had the same amount of experience but no professional accreditation. It will depend what your reasons are for joining but as practising trainer I have found it very useful indeed.

Hi Simon,

If you’d asked a year ago I’d have said “dubious” – I’m a big supporter of the IITT’s aims but you didn’t *see* much for your money.

Now however they’ve developed a great web-service (like TrainingZone), featuring ‘Connect’ groups, and having access to these is worth its weight in gold.

So now, yeah, thumbs up to the Institute.
