International research into organisational learning assessment tools

default-16x9

This request for assistance on an international research project into organisational learning assessment tools has been forwarded by a TrainingZone member:

Here is a very brief introduction to the research project I am conducting right now. We appreciate your help in trying to know who has been in the same neighbourhood we are now in terms of Organizational Learning (OL) assesment tools. The project is twofold:

1. Cases: we have written 2 cases about OL practices in Brazil, and one case about Visteon (international practice in OL). Any other written case of companies with activies in Brazil is welcome. The case does not have to be about OL assessment tools, but about OL general practices. By OL general practices we don't understand as being Peter Senge work, but any practice related to theories available (Nonaka/Takeuchi, Garvin, Senge, DiBella, etc.)

2. We are doing some research about the links between OL and core competencies. How may we know if the organization is learning something relevant to its strategy, and the strategy making process is learning with the organization? The goal in this research project is to develop an assessment tool (that might be an self-assessment tool or not) that may give the organization an overview of the links. We have designed a basic model about the links of OL and core competencies, and as we enter the phase of developing the assessment tool, we are looking for other research projects similar to this one.

The only works we are aware of ECLO are Campbell's (presented at the 1994 ECLO conference), Bertini and Tommasini, and you and Giffey's (both presented in 1995 ECLO Conference).
