interviewing skills video

default-16x9

I am looking to locate training videos on the subject of interviewing skills (not job interviews). Can anyone help, lend me one or put me in the right direction? I am looking for something with a bit of fun involved, not a tear jerker!

Having worked and sold all of the major training video producers, I feel that I can be of help.

If you want humerous, Video Arts is an obvious choice. Their Head Office is in London. Do not expect a discount from them as they can be quite tough on single purchasers.

Alternatively, PlayBack is a company owned by Mel Smith & Griff Rhys Jones. You can buy their titles through FT Knowledge on 0161 245 3300. They are likely to offer introductory discounts.

If money is tight, contact an independant reseller, who are likely to forego some of their margin to clinch the deal (The Learning Combination in Bath?)

For real F2F training, try Neale James at the radio and Television School in Newbury. They have really good training sessions in interview techniques, not just for budding disc jockeys, but also for business people who want to handle the media well.
Do mention my name, ( I might get a beer out of it!)

The best video I’ve seen on the subject (i.e. not job interviews) is one from Video Arts called, “Can you spare a moment.” The context is helping employees with a personal problem – in other words, the emphasis is on couselling skills. It is very straightforward and has come nice humourous touches, but I guess it’s a bit dated now, unless it’s been re-released.
