Big news for the IT industry this week when it was announced that
Hewlett Packard are set to do a take over deal with Compaq worth
£17 billion – this will put them in direct competition with IBM.
CompTIA have decided to change the format of the A+
certification. Douglas Alexander, minister for e-commerce, has
shown the Government’s support to the UK software industry. A
website will be set up which offers international business and
export advice to the software industry and computer services
sector – exciting times for the industry are ahead.
