Since the last newsletter the media have certainly been covering
aspects such as privacy on the internet and various articles
outline that this niche of the market appears to be booming with
companies delivering security solutions, however cybercrime is on
the increase and organisations are warned not to sit back, they
must take the appropriate measures against events happening to
them sooner rather than later.

Also with the introduction of the new bill from the government
allowing employers to snoop or basically monitor employees e-
mails and telephone calls opens a whole can of worms. Is this
infringement on human rights, we will see? As an IT Manager did
state in an e-mail to BBC Breakfast News, employers own the
networking technology that their staff are using, therefore they
have every right to monitor how it is used. Let me have your
thoughts.
