It’s come around…

...pretty quickly, but it's Online Educa time once again. The 'Largest global elearning conference for the corporate, education and public service sectors' really is a great opportunity to meet the best minds in the business of learning, with an e- prefix or not. I have long harboured a desire to expand the remit of TrainingZone to incorporate the education space, and I think it makes perfect sense when it's more apparent than ever that

a) education often leads the way in technological innovation and
b) the methodology of 'education' (ie 4-21 yrs) is used throughout one's working life.

I'm really looking forward to meeting up with some of the people I met last year and meet new people too. If you aren't attending, you can follow the action on the front page of our site in the bottom right corner. Tune in next thursday morning folks.

This week I was lucky enough to be on the panel for judging Training Department of the Year (Public Sector) for the LPI Learning awards in February 2012. All five applicants made compelling cases for winning, and it was a very difficult decision to make, but make it we did. I've not been on a judging panel before, and it was a fascinating insight into organisational development, how different public sector businesses are coping with the various cutbacks, and not least, the art and craft of a good presentation.

Next week might be too busy to get a blog post in, so have a great couple of weeks.
