Two Hundred people in full tribal regalia celebrating their freedom from the slavery of a trio of argumentative Gods with a spontaneous drumming session, in a cavern, deep under the hills of the Peak District? No this isn’t the dark ages and it’s nothing to do with JRRTolkien. It’s actually part of the ‘Trial of the Tribes’ a weekend event organised for Bacon & Woodrow by Interaction, and it has inspired the creation of an entirely new company, JollySerious Events.
Bristol based Interaction Development and Learning Consultancy has been delivering exciting and innovative programs for the past 8 years for clients throughout the UK. It is this background and the obvious success of, and interest in some of their previous events that makes them think JollySerious will be a corporate events company like no other.

We have set up JollySerious Events to create events that are fun, powerful and productive, a combination that has tremendous potential. With its background of organisational development, JollySerious is able to understand the way in which companies work, their culture and strategies. Using this knowledge JollySerious builds a picture of the messages clients might want to communicate; these are then incorporated within the design in a creative way to produce an event that is exciting and memorable. A dynamic way to start a conference or reward employees.
There is already a great deal of interest being shown in JollySerious: A Japanese drumming workshop, as an ice breaker to the Transco Graduate Induction Programme, and a days skills training in the ancient arts of stage fighting and juggling - essential competencies for the modern executive! - are both running in September.
