KALIF – Knowledge and Learning Infrastructure projects

KALIF was launched in September 1998 to support the ESPRIT projects selected in the thematic call for 'IT for Learning and Training in Industry' (LTI) initiative, supported by the European Union.

KALIF is research orientated, experimental in nature and has a range of unique features.

The research projects that are part of this programme are developing innovative tools and techniques, such as virtual reality environments, knowledge sharing environments and simulators to improve knowledge management and learning in industrial organisations in various sectors such as the maritime, aircraft, nuclear energy, transport sector, but also the designer world and financial services.
