Atkins Business Solutions Ltd, the training company set up 4 years ago by Jooli Atkins, has recently completed a high profile Knowledge Management project with a West Midlands NHS Trust. The project report is about to be published in both Knowledge Management, Training and Medical journals.
The project was designed to support healthcare staff in developing the skills, understanding and approaches which underpin the development of a knowledge management culture, thus helping to embed knowledge management processes into working practices. Atkins Business Solutions Ltd was involved in training needs analysis, design and delivery of training to a range of clinical staff to assist them to use IT to gain access to knowledge bases both internally and across the internet, allowing them to access the latest clinical research to enhance their clinical decision making, in pursuit of seamless patient care.
The project has already been extended to other areas of the Trust and is being further developed in the 2nd half of this year to Primary Care Groups.
