Latest IT salary survey results released

default-16x9

Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine has released details of its latest IT professional annual salary survey conducted by Wilson Research Group.

Results show there has been a 7% decline in the average salary of a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from $67,800 to $63,400 in 2001.

The average salary for a Windows 2000 MCSE is now $67,100.

Average salaries for MCSD’s and MCP’s has also dropped.

Reasons for reductions have been blamed on the dot com crash, and the numbers of Win NT 4.0 MCSE’s reported to be as high as 400,000.

Good news is that Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) salaries saw an 18% rise. This may be due to an increase in demand for qualified Win2K trainers.
