Learning centre

default-16x9

I have been tasked to set up a learning centre for our 900 colleagues to utilise. I am looking to introduce skills for life and other e based learning activites and tutored courses but am interested to find out experiences from other businesses on this matter. What courses you have introduced and what your employees paticularly benefited from.

  1. Learning Centres
I have set up two learning centres in quite well known UK businesses and there were two key thingsthat I have learnt from the process 1) Make sure it really is what the business wants as it is a big investment and 2) Plan how to continually promote the centre and keep people wanting to come to it. Good luck.

  2. I have set up over 30 LRC in the past.
Hi Jayne, I have set up over 30 Learning Resource Centres in the past – because that used to be my job. If you want some good reference sites or LRCs to visit just let me know. Also what about the BTEC Diploma in Managing & Developing Open Learning Resources. It’s a great course with good networking benifits.

  3. Insight Guide
    Hello Jayne

I do not have experience of setting up a centre but I can point you in the direction of our ‘Insight Guide’ and ‘Benefits of Bespoke’ on our website which may help you whilst deciding on your overall strategy. http://www.bournetraining.co.uk.
I hope this is of some help. Good luck with your project.
