Learning for Work, an area of the Department for Education and Employment responsible for Key Skills will be running a programme of events from November to February offering a range of related courses and workshops.
The 'Key Skills Weeks' will be held in five locations, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, York and London, and include both training sessions and workshops around key skills issues. They include a session introducing the new Key Skills Qualification, workshops on writing assignments for key skills and working with employers and a session on the strategic implications of key skills. Costs for the training sessions vary from £25 to £75 per delegate and workshops cost £10 each to attend.
There will also be a discussion forum at the end of each week which will provide an opportunity to debate the whole issue of Key Skills delivery today and in the future.
