Peter, I am a regular public speaker, and a professional trainer, perhaps I can help? I would bring both my own research in setting up my company, and two decades of personal experience on both sides of the fence (giving and receiving training).
Depending on the audience, their needs and the amount of time/detail, my abstract might include the shift to behavioural indicators of successful training (the Kirkpatrick Model); measuring ROI on training; blended learning; challenges for the training industry (established players and new entrants); and 10 top reasons why training will always be necessary.
